Man Shot In Home Invasion

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — One man was shot in an apparent home invasion in New Bedford on Wednesday evening.Two men wearing masks entered an apartment on Emma Street in what police say was a robbery attempt. But officers say an occupant was shot in the stomach, before the suspects fled apparently empty-handed.

The victim is said to have suffered life threatening injuries and was air lifted to a Boston hospital.
